FAQs

How can queens be transported to my place safely?

The queens are transported by courier. Delivery is completed within 48 hours, in any part of the country. The parcels are neat and the queens are not in any danger during transport.

Are the queens you send always mated?

The queens that we supply to each of our clients are all mated in a natural way and not through insemination. After creating a frame with brood, they are collected and sent to each customer.

How is a queen introduced after I receive it?

First we check that the bee swarm in which the introduction will take place is orphan and there is no fertilized queen inside. Before the introduction of the new queen, the bee swarm must be orphaned for at least 6 hours, in order to more easily perceive its orphanhood and accept the new queen. We place the special cage with the queen, the customer will receive, on or between the honeycombs, depending on the season. After 24 hours from the moment the cage is inserted, it is time to remove the safety door from the cage so that by eating the dough contained inside, the queen has a smooth introduction to the hive. The safe removal time for very strong bees is ideal after 48 hours.

What should I do after the introduction of the new queen in the hive?

We do not disturb the beehive for a week.

What do we mean when we talk about five-frame Nuc hive?

A beehive which will consist of three very good broods, two frames with honey and pollen and will be covered by a population of 5-6 frames.

How many days-old are the queen cells when they are delivered to the customer?

Ten days after placing grafts into starter hive the cells are mature and ready for delivery. They are transported with the graft placing frame and a sufficient population to the respective client.

What genetic material (races) do you have?

Our genetic material is from Caucasian and Cecropia race. As for the Caucasian race, we receive new genetic material from a scientific center abroad every two years, thus ensuring the best possible quality for our queens.
